ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATIONAL ADVOCACY
1. Texas State youth in foster care are eligible for our services.
2. Youth not in foster care must have an immediate need, such as:
- Student needs expansion/revision to existing IEP or help with the special education evaluation process
- Student is at risk of retention or not graduating
- Student needs assistance with school enrollment or re-admittance
- Student has a current/preventative need regarding suspension or expulsion
- Student has a current threat of being removed from the home and/or is currently experiencing homelessness
For youth who do not meet eligibility requirements, Camp RISE may be able to offer a one-time conversation (to provide information, resources, or referrals for appropriate agencies or services to youth, caregivers or social workers). Please contact our program staff for more information.
HOUSING STABILITY
1. Texas State youth in foster care are eligible for our services.
2. Youth must have an impending need, such as:
- Youth is preparing to transition out of foster care
- Youth is currently at risk of being removed from home and/or is experiencing homelessness
- Youth has experienced chronic homelessness
For youth who do not meet eligibility requirements, Camp RISE may be able to offer a one-time conversation (to provide information, resources, or referrals for appropriate agencies or services to youth, caregivers or social workers). Please contact our program staff for more information.
